Celsion Corporation's Breast Cancer Treatment to be Featured in Television Segment, 'Medical Breakthroughs'

The Celsion Segment Will be Distributed to 130 Local Network and Cable News Stations

COLUMBIA, Md.--(BW HealthWire)--April 20, 2000-- Celsion Corporation (OTC BB:CELN - news) announced that a medical news production company will distribute a feature news segment on April 26, 2000 regarding Celsion's breast cancer treatment technology. The treatment uses focused microwaves to ablate (kill) tumors without surgery using heat alone. This technology was exclusively licensed from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (``MIT') and was originally developed for the ``Star Wars' defense initiative.

The news segment will be distributed throughout the month of May to at least 130 local network and cable news stations. Dr. Robert Gardner at the Center for Breast Surgery, which is a member of Columbia Health Care in Florida, and a breast cancer patient, were interviewed. Dr. Gardner discussed the benefits of microwave technology, as well as the preliminary results of the study.
