It wasn't the part about alta being postponed that got me, but the suggestion that it might never IPO as a result of the postponement. It's one thing to say that the timing wasn't right, which is an exercise in discretion, but to suggest that the world has come to an end is another. And then to question whether it was really a good thing to IPO it at all. You can bet that the tune would have been otherwise had it come a month earlier or later.
