Did DELL report 1Q already? Wonder what will happen if they miss again? TANK?

Maybe Mikey will see the AMD Dresden Train and buy a ticket.

Cirruslvr - RE: <The probably knew "interest and other" would be greater than 500M in Q1 when they reported Q4. Now they are saying a staggering amount of $725M! for Q2. What will it come in at? $900M? $1B?>

INTC capital gains for 4Q99 seemed prudent (about 5% of holdings) but the "burn rate" on this resource accelerated this past quarter and appears likely to continue? I wonder how Intel Capital's holdings were affected in the recent NASDAQ adjustments.

AAPL has been criticized in the past for selling its investments that have later risen (ARMHY) but some of them have also fallen dramatically (AKAM).

I liked how one news article referenced AMD's "similar capital sales" -- were they referring to Vantis? or the Ireland property? The former was clearly a one-time even to enable the company to make the transition to the Athlon and the Ireland property sale was an insignificant ($0.04?) portion of the 1Q00 blowout.

Very comfortable with AMD -- though may have trouble sleeping since I am not 100% in AMD! GGG
