I believe Rambus claims their advantage is the amount of data delivered per pin.

Hmm, I didn't know that Rambus restarted the medieval discourse on how many angels can sit on the head of a pin.

This is exactly what I have been saying. DRDRAM may be a good technology for applications where a lot of bandwidth is required on a small number of pins, such as multiported graphics and network chips.
