The AMDites are tag-teaming us again (and in the middle of the night again, how original!). They must be very P.O.'ed that Intel reiterated 100% support for Rambus at both the IDF and in the Conference Call, adding that DDR is "dead, dead, dead" for the desktop platforms. It must feel like salt being rubbed in a wound.

Remember:

1) AMD is a Rambus licensee
2) AMD has been hiring engineers with RDRAM expertise.
3) We have a report from a non-fan-of-Rambus that AMD has a RDRAM-based chipset on their roadmap.

The amount of vitriol amazes me. A lot of bile is going to have to be swallowed when AMD throws in the towel and supports RDRAM.
