CALGARY, April 20 /CNW-PRN/ - Hurricane Hydrocarbons Ltd. announces today that effective Monday, April 24, 2000 the company's stock trading symbol on the National Quotation Bureau (``NQB') in the United States will change from ``HHLFQ' to the new symbol ``HHLF' due to the company's emergence from court protection effective March 31, 2000. The Nasdaq Listing and Hearing Review Council (``Review Council') has advised Hurricane that it will be reviewing the Company's appeal of its 1999 de-listing from the Nasdaq National Market prior to the end of April 2000. A decision of the Review Council is expected sometime in May 2000. Hurricane's shares trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol HHL.A and on the NQB.
