My taxable account is comparatively small, but that was a consideration. The main one is keeping positions. I learn about great companies but would trade out of them for something else. I've had big stakes in come that have been huge hits over the years, but I traded out of them too early...examples PeopleSoft, US Robotics, AOL (about 5 times!), Ascend, Uniphase, Siebel. Not that I have any complaints, because I've done really well. I would have done better had I stayed with these. So I've try buy and hold. I'll see how this works.
