John, i think the Fed wants to try to achieve a soft landing, but will find out that there are only two choices: either keep feeding the bubble and let the imbalances grow even further, or allow the big debt and asset bubble wipe-out. i just don't think there's a way to avoid these two potential outcomes. i reserve the right to change my mind on that...

btw, i think we're already past the peak of economic growth in this expansion. so if my theory is correct, we should see vastly different economic data over say the next six months or so.
