A child is not a car my friend. You do not inherit children. That child has a father, who too had custody. Does your wife have the right to leave your children to a neighbour in the event of her death??? Ask yourself that basic question. How would you feel in that case?? If you are honest with yourself then maybe you will understand the stupidity of this situation. Furthermore, in America, often times both parents are given joint custody of children. When one parent takes the child cross state, that parent is in violation of child custody laws and risks losing her share of custody.
