04/19 9:49A Global Crossing To Sell Tracking Stock For GlobalCenter

WASHINGTON -(Dow Jones)- Global Crossing Ltd. (GBLX) filed to sell up to
$100 million of tracking stock for its GlobalCenter unit in an initial public
offering, according to a filing Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange
Commission.
Details of the offering weren't specified in the filing.
GlobalCenter plans to use proceeds of the offering to finance its domestic
and international expansion and for general corporate purposes and working
capital.
GlobalCenter provides Internet infrastructure solutions.
The company has applied for listing on the Nasdaq Stock Market under the
symbol GCTR.
Bermuda-based Global Crossing is developing broadband, global fiber-optic
networks for Internet and long-distance telecommunication services.
