I'll tell you what.... if giving bad service was illegal or if you could sue a company for providing bad service... then we'd all be rich by now..

it would be SO easy to show etrade is negligent as a service provider and and a result cost investors thousands of dollars in lost revenue (like unable to place trades in a timely fashion) that we'd win easily

problem is that the law protects the company .. as there's nothing in the books that says a company can be sued for providing bad service or having rude or imcompetent customer reps..

if there is something out there.. somebody start a class action suit and let me know ; meanwhile, funny as this sounds.. I continue to use etrade and enjoy it... WHEN it works.. with them it's either PRETTY GOOD or VERY BAD. Not much in the middle...
