Nice math Baldy. William O'Neill makes a big point of this in his books. When your stock is down even more, like 80% or so, you'll now have to get a 400% return to break even (if you bought at the top). You have to ask yourself that eternal question -- if any stock in the universe is going to appreciate 400%, is it this one -- the one that has just cost me so many thousands of dollars, or do I start from scratch? Most investors cling to emotion rather than reason here.
