Loral's '99 Annual Report says in the shareholder letter dated March 24 that 65K phones "have been produced by our three manufacturers." At the end of 1999, 40K "had been shipped" per G* SEC filings. Q says it shipped a cumulative total of 40K by the end of Q1 (of which 29K mobile and 4K fixed were shipped last year), leaving 25K for Telit and Ericcson. Neglecting for now the distinction between "produced" and "shipped:"

The cumulative total of GSM phones would be 25K (7K last year, 18K this year);
CDMA/AMPS phones total would be 40K (33K last year, 7K this year)
