The good old days of SOES are long gone I'm afraid. Even with the new rules,
MM's will not have to honor anything more than what they display (the actual
size rule). That you will be able to execute nearly 10K shares with SuperSOES
merely means that *if* that amount is displayed and *if* there aren't other SOES
orders in front of you, you will get the shares. I'm hopeful that the reduction
from 17 seconds to 5 seconds as the time MM's have to refresh will improve things....
The 5 minute rule is murky, but Cyber enforces it strictly and conservatively with their
own proprietary timers. That won't change I'm sure. The changes to Selectnet seem
to clearly favor MM's since they won't have to fill or move with 15 seconds of a
preference. We'll see what happens.

The five minute rule is no longer in effect. The current rule is that each SOES order must be the result of an independent investment decision.
