Shi, thanks for the information on China. It's amazing that it is still not ready because there were photos of the Beijing gateway looking very nearly built way back in 1997. Maybe this is part of the trade disputes, WTO and CDMA argument going back and forth between the USA and China. I can't think of another reason it isn't ready to go in China. Then again, some others should have been ready at least a year ago. There is something really weird about the whole timetable for construction. The big ticket item, the satellites, have been rotting now for a year [most of them] while the trivial items, organizing roaming and gateways, are only now being figured out. That seems absurd. If Zenit hadn't crashed and they'd gone ahead with two more Zenit launches, the whole constellation would now be going on 2 years old. I wonder whether the rollout would have been delayed until now in that case. Ericy handsets would presumably have still not been ready. Oh well, Rome wasn't built in a day. Investors need more than a 7 minute horizon. Plus the ability to doubt overenthusiastic claims, such as 'we will begin service sometime this year'. Maurice PS: Your post was on 'fixed font'. If you look down the bottom of the Silicon Investor page before you press 'submit', you'll see a Use Fixed Font option. Which I just then noticed has defaulted to being selected although I didn't select it. SI must have a glitch. People should unselect it before posting or they get big long one line posts like yours which are hard to read.
