Cycles tend to last for quite some time....months vs weeks or days. What do you see happening to change the current Intel cycle?

Why did you ever invest in AMD?

Gerald,

The simple answer is that it was time for a cycle change for AMD and the Athlon looked very promising. But nothing is that simple and the truth is is that the rest of it was emotional, the possibility that the competition between AMD and Intel would be changing was very compelling (to me)....the underdog makes a comeback etc.

The irony of all this is that going into it, I expected AMD to be the worst performing stock in my porfolio. Eight months later it is one of the top three. Go figure!
