There seems to be some ambiguity in how they report caching revenue. Here's what they said at end of Q4:

"In fiscal 1999, between ICS and BorderManager? software, Novell generated more than $38 million in cache-related revenue."

I believe that there is a caching module within BorderManager, but that the $38 million figure includes all
BorderManager software plus the new revenue from the ICS licensed to OEMs.

Note that they said nothing about caching revenue in the Q1 press release. Since this is one area where we are hoping to see revenue growth, it seems conspicuously absent.

I will feel comfortable if they state exactly how much they got from ICS in Q2 and how this grew over Q1. I would not let them mix in BorderManager.

Another partner for CMGion
CMGI Says Compaq to Invest $20 Million in CMGion
April 20, 2000 11:01 am EST

ANDOVER (Reuters) - Internet venture capital firm CMGI Inc.
(CMGI.O) said Thursday that No. 1 PC-maker Compaq Computer
Corp. (CPQ.N) would invest $20 million in CMGI's new majority-owned operating company, CMGion, for a 4 percent stake.

Compaq will also provide appliances, server and storage platforms, key operating system components, and technical support, the company said in a statement.

CMGion's core business aims to enhance the performance and
functionality of the Internet.

Novell Inc. (NOVL.O) and Sun Microsystems Inc. (SUNW.O) had said earlier in the month that they would each invest $20 million in CMGion.

Compaq and CMGI formed a strategic alliance in June 1999 in which CMGI took a majority stake in AltaVista and Compaq became CMGI's largest outside shareholder.

Shares of Compaq rose 1/8 to 27-13/16 and shares of CMGI were flat at 60-7/16.
