Lee, I think you are right that some traders inflate their gains all the time. I guess it makes them feel better to say that they are right 80% of the time but they know the truth. I think if they were right that much they would be buying an island like in that old Discover brokerage ad about the trading tow truck driver. I hope your trade turns out well for you.

lee, I tried my first short today.
The market looked like it was turning down (I watch the futures closely). Well it turned right back up, the short turned around and bit me and off I went running with my tail between my legs and a hundred dollar loss on 100 shares. (I wasn't willing to take any pain, enough recently!)

Good thing I fled, the stock then ran up 5 points in minutes and held it all day. So much for my first attempt, but now the fear of shorting has lessened. Thanks for the encouragement!
