Amazon made a deal with HP about selling HP gear on AMZN and that was why they switched. IMHO eBay is running slower and with more latency as of late. I am glad it's not Sun gear that is at issue. The problem at eBay if I recall correctly was they were trying to run with one UE10000 despite Sun telling them they needed at least two. One was to run in hot idle in case of problems with unit one.

I don't know what "sunw lost to hp" means. Are they replacing whatever Suns they have? Only adding HP's? Adding some of each instead of going all Sun? And hasn't Amazon been a CPQ shop? It's hard to lose something you never had.

I'd look for some details before trying to reach any conclusions. It's only been a few days since the conference call, when Zander and McNealy said business is great (I paraphrase).

JMHO.
