Dear Cirrus: Thanks! Actually, I just "found" the same article thanks to someone over on the EMC thread who pointed people to that and another posting on this thread and was about to point people to it here--but you already searched and found it.

There must be a lot of mental telepathy going on right now. Even some of the EMC people are starting to at least think about NTAP.

BTW, EMC is supposed to be making some kind of big announcement Monday. I am not into speculating but I sure am curious.

Cirruslvr, Hi! Here's another number you may be interested in.

From yesterday's Solomon Smith Barney report (4/19/200) on EMC 1QQ00 results:

"Dataquest estimates the NAS market will grow by 110% in 2000, reaching $1.2 billion."

The forecasted annual growth rate has been 66% for NAS. It sure looks like accelerating growth rate to me!!!
