My friend, I am as objective on this matter as one can be. It is precisely because of my neutrality that I can listen to both sides of the discussion and form an opinion. I am neither Pro-Castro or Anti-Castro. I am nor Cuban or American.

I simply look at the facts and state my opinion without any obligation to either side.

Give the boy back to his father. As to the choice of country, it is the father's, and only his, decision to make.

Ah, now i understand a remark Znotle! made yesterday - you two have cooked up a theory that i have tried to inmigrate to the US, eh ... well, not true, i never have, and never wanted to ... never even thought about it actually ... i do have friends there, and it's a nice place to visit, with the exception of numerous overpopulated and heavily armed areas, but i wouldn't want to live there.

And yes, the tendency of a portion of its population to the circular flapping of a whacko right wing is a factor in that attitude.

Have you noticed that the refrain from the anti-Elian folks is that Elian should be returned to Cuba because otherwise the Miami Cubans will lose?

They think that Elian's right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" is some type of negotiating position
