I had the same thought myself.

My guess is that -

a)they want the shares, and for 350,000 warrants paying an extra 50 cents Canadian each isn't a big deal. The warrants expire in August, I believe.

b)They want to be "helpful" to the cause. They seem to be aiding IMA in a number of ways...Barrick is a real insider here.
