Goutama, the contest and your presentation was awesome. I'm amazed again that the stock price prediction was less than $1 away. The same was true in Q4 if you only counted entries filed before the end of the quarter.

Just for clarification, for CPU sales did you use total CPG revenues minus some estimate of chipset/embedded revenue, or did you use ASP * total units?

Goutama,

Thanks for running the contest.

As far as winning goes, there was a little luck, a little skill, a little thought, and a great deal of research (most on the web). I must thank many of the people here. Many of the places I looked at to form an opinion came from the people here.

Best Regards to all,

Mike

Hello Goutama,

Thanks for your efforts on the earnings contest. Both your excellent efforts/results and AMD's future just keep getting better and better.

Congratulations to Mike 'minnow28' on his victory in the contest.

Re: Now, I need your input and suggestions to make AMD Q2'00 epscontest even more interesting.

I think it would be interesting to somehow get the professional(???) ANALysts numbers involved in the contest entries. I know it would be difficult to nail these professionals down since most of them want to do a "CYOA" thing by moving their numbers as earnings approach. Maybe they could be frozen 20/15/10/? days before earnings are due. After all, these guys make their living doing this sort of prediction even though most of them seem brain dead. It might be interesting to see how they stack up against the rest of us. What do you think?

Kindest regards,
CrazyMan
