The equivalent DDR will perform better and cost between $100 and $150. And it won't corrupt data, either. If you decrease the price of the Rambus by 75% (not gonna happen) it's still a bad deal.

I guess you know what this means for DDR

There is pretty good reason to believe that DDR systems will outperform i820 systems by quite a bit, and cost less. Micron is pushing DDR pretty hard.
