Haim....

With all due respect, I read your post, and all I can say is...

I congratulate you in your trading profits as you have expressed you have achieve them, now, I suggest you sell all your holdings, donate the proceeds to your favorite charity and go to Cuba or other similar country and do something about the issues you speak about

I fail to understand what are you trying to achieve by posting these issues here on SI... Are you trying to instill guilt ? or ? (Perhaps I should suggest you open a thread where these issues could be better "argued"....)

I could mention specific parts of your post and address some of the issues you mention, however, I do not think this is the forum for such discussion, nor, I am that interested in debating the ills of human nature. (I would rather trade on it, assuming I am capable of reading it properly).

I will however say, to suggest that many of the disasters that you make reference to, (at least from a Latin American perspective), and many of the ills that affect third world countries are due to the financial excess of 21st century evil characters 'a la Robber Barons' of time past, is at best, hog-wash.

I am very familiar with the Latin American mentality and the form in which they run governments, economy etc.

Such places are filled with TOTAL CORRUPTION that are the main cause of why most countries over there, are for all practical purposes, basket cases.

If you think that American politicians lie, such lies are kinder-garten stuff compared to what these thieves do over there.

The point here is... "It takes two to Tango"

And so, to give you another perspective of things.

I am not suggesting that we are trouble free, but I do not believe we are at the edge of the precipice either, as you seem to portray in your the view of the world.

I have the view of "a glass half filled", such difference in opinion is part of... "What makes a market". Unless the market proves me wrong, I will not change my opinion. Even then, I will attempt to "be one step ahead of it" if I can.

As for human nature... Frankly, with all its defects, I am hopeful and positive, except that I would like to see a substantial reduction in the population growth rate, but that is another subject all together.

As for all the traders that lost their "nut" (cash and otherwise), well, I guess history is filled with people who did not know how to measure their own abilities, we are all adults and know, (supposedly), what we are doing.

Not to make you feel guilty, (I do not believe in such strategy), but I assume you know that your profits came from others who took the other side of your particular trades.... and lost.

I congratulate you in your success, remember....

"The race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, but that is the way to bet"
