more flab=greater liklihood of being a John Hinckley type.

hmmm.
I think that kids are less likely to be teased about their appearance if a greater percentage of them are heavy. My secretary's daughter is a good example. She's 11 years old
and wears a size 16. She's also 5'7" and wears size 11 shoes. Big girl. She's not interested in exercise, though.
And lots of kids at school are like her.

Surprised me.

I suspect that if this generation is more prone to depression, it will more likely result from the lack
of socialization and emotional isolation within the home.

gee, when I was a kid, the thought of getting fat always motivated me!<g>
