The court ruled 1) plaintiff is enjoined from departing from or attempting to depart from the US (this means that Elian cannot leave the US-even if he wants too.) 2) any and all persons on for, on, or on behalf of, or in concert with, ARE ENJOINED FROM AIDING OR ASSISTING,OR ATTEMPTING TO AID OR ASSIST IN THE REMOVAL OF THE PLAINTIFF FROM THE US. 3) ALL officers, agents, and employees of the US , including but not limited to officers, agents, and employees of the US dept of Justice, are enjoined to take such reasonable measures, as necessary to prevent removal of plaintiff, Elian Gonzalez, from the US This ruling that Elian's Miami relatives are PROHIBITED from assisting any one that may be attempting to return Elian to Cuba This ruling means that the US gov't is now required to take all measure to prevent Elian being returned to cuba. The cuban compound is cuban soil and out of the 11th circuit's jurisdiction. The court is aware that if the plaintiff is removed from the US, the case will be moot. This court has said that NO ONE will aid in Elian's departure nor will they coooperte with those that wish to make Elian's departure happen.
