I know you say that in jest, but that scenario is what scares the street... they don't know what to expect out of this management team. Until investors can be assured that management won't do these things, they won't bid up the stock. That is why T needs to "seat" a different team. Investors need to be able point management and say, "No, they wouldn't do that."
