OT: Anything will be slow if the SOURCE is slow...
...ie: if Datek server is bogged down, it will be slow receiving it no matter what you have.

DSL seems to be the connection of choice. I'll give it a try.

May I ask a question regarding QCharts? Can one set up multiple charts that get continuously updated? As it is now, I must go to Big Charts and bring up each chart separately, every time, waiting while it downloads. It's tedious, especially since I'm watching dozens of stocks and indexes.

My main problem has been that I'm using a MacIntosh and there seem to be very few charting software programs available. I'm resigned to moving to a PC if I must.

Thanks for the help. bglad
