And I suppose that you have never heard of homosexuality without sex. When a man loves a woman -- without or without penetration -- that is heterosexual love. When a man loves a man -- any man -- with or without penetration, that is homosexual love. As you suggest, love does not necessarily have anything to do with sexual activity. There are many men who love other men without having sex with them. Fathers -- sons, brothers, friends are examples of homosexuality, although in most cases there are no explicit sexual relations involved, and, for all I know, sexual ideation. I think those relationships are love, and because it is between two males, it is homosexual love. But when a priest or choir master engages in sex with a child, I don't call that "homosexual love" even if they are of the same sex. I think it is better described as rape, or statutory rape. If a man of 33 years dines with a boy of 18 or so leaning on his breast, and if that boy later claims to be the disciple whom that man loved, I think the relationship is properly described as "homosexual love" even though we only have the boy's word for it. After all, the boy says that later that night he saw his friend siezed, and tried, and executed. His friend he says gave over his mother to his care (even though the man had living brothers.) I think they were much in love. I have no information at all about any sexual relationship between them, and it concerns me not at all one way or another.
