Bert,

I also still like to code in assembler every now and then

Maybe you should try out Merced, and report back on the joy of coding in assembler on IA64.

Regards,
Scumbria

Hello Bert,

Re: "I still have an AM29116DC AMD chip here on my desk. One of the most beatiful chips I've ever seen. With golden pins and a metallic/golden surface. Datecode 8443.

She sure sounds pretty! Does your wife know how you feel about her? <hehe>

Seriously, I can't say I've ever seen the AM29116DC, my loss I'm sure. Maybe you could put an image or two on your SI profile page? I had no idea how to do this myself until recently, there's many here (including me) who can help if help is needed. I'd love to see images of your AM29116DC.

Please keep us posted about what's happening on your side of the pond. I find your insight valuable and interesting.

Kindest regards,
razyMan
