Elizabeth, Aus, et al,

I listened to the cc last evening and I saw Eli on CNBC today. The story is a very strong one. The company does an excellent job in engineering and in forming alliances that aid in expanding the market.

However, since I do public relations for a living, I believe that Sandisk is not doing a great job of marketing. When I ask people who do not already know of my long-term holding in Sandisk, no one has even heard of flash memory. I was talking to someone this morning who owns an MP3 player. She knows there's a chip inside, but she has no idea that it's different from any other chip. Sandisk relies entirely upon its customers to market its technology to the public.

IMHO, many retail investors are caught up in a stock when they have heard about it and understand its markets. The number of people who know about flash memory is tiny, and the number who associate flash memory with Sandisk is even smaller.

I'm probably the longest long in Sandisk on this board, but I still believe the company should be more active in marketing to consumers.
