As many on this thread have pointed out (and I agree with), April will be a better month than January most probably, and thus DELL's results will be helped out by the different reporting dates.

Don't overlook, however, that Intel still says that it is capacity constrained and will be through at least June. And DELL will consequently be impacted, in spite of management's assertions that microprocessor supply issues are behind them.

One other thought re:the consumer v business breakdown. When you look into AMD's results a little closer, one of the major reasons for the upside surprise is the large production of K6 chips, not Athlon chips. Once again, this points to a strength in the low end, not an area of strength for Dell. (And, of course, low end AMD boxes are non existent at Dell.)
