G, (small vent and rant)

That says it all. The entire post is worth repeating. I HOPE MANAGEMENT SEES THIS. The MF'ers have &hit for brains in the way they did it and the time they chose. Sadest of all is that they acted as if it is a private company and they are responsible to no one for there incompetence, they have royally screwed shareholders for the *long* short term.

All this time holding and waiting while the share price 'slippin, slippin, slippin into the future...' Only to receive this royal Dr. Bendover Rx.

I am concerned about the same statement that got you in the cc...the bs about ad revs down or flat due to our BB content focus. What drivil. Where is Armstrong with a strong arm to yank these boys? AOL ad revs were up what 47% this quarter to over 500mil! That is not something to walk away from.

Anyway, nice post you made. DSL was good too. With fiber upgrades from cable they can do well for a long time and even with AOL they will do fine, but they cold cocked all of us.

Consider how the street would have reacted had ATHM announced a break even quarter, earnings targets for the rest of the year in place, and increased sub targets?

Investors had made decisions about buying ATHM based on the previous expectations. Now it looks like ATHM's profitability curve has been pushed out a year, with the result being the distribution of shares we are witnessing today.
