Rich, the small percentage of the workstation box market doesn't seem to me to be as important as the fact that DELL's engineers have chosen the more expensive RDRAM instead of the cheaper SDRAM or any other DRAM. Why would this be? The only reason I can think of is simply that it works better and DELL will get more mileage by using it. As for the marketing aspect I agree. However I am one that believes that marketing is favoring Rambus and that Rambus also has the better technology. So in the end they will have the best of two worlds, market share and product.
