Uncle,

... and other Data Storage fans regardless of whether your persuasion is SAN or NAS (including the scarce DownUnder, "Guru of NAS".

There is a great deal of intelligent conjecture on the EMC thread about the BIG product release EMC is supposed to make on Tuesday. Last 100 posts on EMC are worth catching up

I know you are not a fan of the "Ignore" feature of SI.

I myself use it very judiciously.

My first target for the feature (way back) was our old buddy the late and great Jxxx from the Cisco thread and the 2nd was its clone MM who also inhabits it from time to time. Somewhere along the line I rehabilitated MM for some strange reason.

Well today, I used the "Ignore" feature (with all its options including "Ignore Reply To" on some of the strange critters that come out on the CISCO thread when CISCO is in decline.

First I zapped MM.

Then I zapped your friend "bambs".

Then I zapped 2 more "sky is falling ... CSCO is overpriced" friends of theirs.

I just clicked on the CISCO thread. A batch of messages flew by ... POOF!

Did a double check. 19 of the last 20 (To/From) messages were ignored as a result of zapping 4 bandwidth hogs with nothing to offer.

What a feature. Life is GREAT! The Cisco thread worth reading again.

Casino is closed.

Have a great (long) weekend all!
