I thought PC133 boasted of a maximum bandwidth of 1.06 GB/sec. Or are you talking about maximum achievable bandwidth in a normal Pentium III system?

Good point. A 64 bit system would deliver over 1GB/S, but the asymptote at 500 MB/S in the Intel graph indicates that the bus is saturated at half that value. There appears to be a 32 bit bottleneck somewhere in the system.
