Marcos, I read that Washington Post article. What they fail to mention is there is no age limit for one seeking asylum. It took the father five months to make an appearance. The affidavit of the nun, said the grandmothers looked scared and were taking orders from someone on a phone from Cuba. That is coercion.

Reno wanted desperately to hustle this kid out of the country and not give him his day in court. Reno knows she can't influence every judge, and intimidating some judges might backfire on her department.

I would say Elian has an 80% chance of remaining, if they try muscle tactics in the Florida courts I would say it might be a 95% chance of remaining in the U.S. to pursue his own existence free of Castro.

Elian is innocent of ideology. Dispite his innocence, he has said that Cuba is bad. Bad.

That has implications even castro and the left can understand. Castro and the left cannot allow this to stand.

<< ... seems like the ones who carry their hatred to the point of the theft of small children ... >>

Fido Castro's perverted government must hate all Cuban children, because they steal the children of all parents. Now they want to steal Elian.

One has to wonder why the Cuban government needs to steal all parents' children. This might explain why most Cuban parents would risk their lives to bring their children and themselves to Miami.

Hmmmm!? Could it be what Fido Castro and his thugs "do" with the children? What a sick, perverted government under Castro. Even Mexico is better, than Cuba, for children, though not much better.

Elian must not leave Miami, an city which sets an example of freedom and courage for the entire world!
