I'm tired of this market. I sold all my common today, on everything, and bought leaps and long term calls today. My cost basis is lower, I still stand to gain when the market turns around, but it it tanks I preserve a large part of my capital. That is the prime directive. Preserve your Capital.

Introduction of newbie: Have been lurking on the G&K thread. I've RTFM and am 1/3 through Roth. Just sold my house in CA and plunked 1/2 the proceeds into the G&K and W&W stocks. Early March. (The other half is to get a house in NY where I now live). Sins: Invested too much too fast w/o sufficient DD; still don't know much about valuation or how to figure it out for tech stocks Virtues: No margin and 25K left to invest; been studying techs and the G&G thread several hours per week now; managed to pick good companies Considering: Jan 02 leaps for Qualcom and possibly INTEL. BUT, I really have no idea where to start. I'll finish the Roth but am already through the bullish section and can't quite figure out the chart link on Dreyfus. Questions: Is the figure next to Jan 02 in blue the strike price? Does anyone have a suggestion as to what range of strike prices would be appropriate (depending on risk tol. of course)? Would any of you with what was a 200K portfolio consider 25K of leaps on gorillas? Is there a place where I can get up to speed a bit quicker? Will go back to lurk mode soon but need to get a little better hang of this or I won't even be able to understand this thread! Thanks so much! Richard
