*that word SWAP really bothers me*

I think JDN may be on to something.

Looks like it will be some time before I get my audience, but it is going to happen. Like I said, we need to be patient.

By the way, I am not a proponent that the market knows all . . . individuals often know more than the masses. Just take a look at what is known as mob mentality - it exists many places as well as the market, and is often based on irrational reason rather than facts. Capitalism cannot exist without an inefficient market (mob mentality rarely runs corporations and thus cannot create profits) - profits would drain away in an efficient environment just as many economic textbooks would have folks believe. If this were to occur we would be facing a world of equality. One that cannot exist. While some areas are efficient, they are generally not for long as innovation reigns supreme. Witness the past 200 years of human achievement . . . and all the billionaires that have been created. Try telling me that things are known by all when a relatively small number of hands can hold billions in profits. If things (information, ideas and such) were well disseminated, no one would be a billionaire.

But this is an argument to be had over a beer (or cream soda) in the warmth of summer while sitting in a grove of 6-foot ferns & 150 foot cottonwood trees near a smooth flowing creek.

Lets stay focused on our similarities rather than or differences, and we may just come up with reasonable explanations.

JDN -- see my previous post,,, I no longer have faith that it will do anything to get excited about. With a 52 week high of 64 1/4 and it is racing toward its low... As was pointed out to me the avg NAS stock is down 55 %,,, so this IS an avg stock! I prefer to only hold GOOD companies with strong mgmt,,,
