I have found DSL to be fairly consistent as compared to when I had Cox@home. However, since the Internet is a shared resource, speed is dependent upon load. Load appears to be highest at night between 4 and 9 pst (7 - 12 est), and on weekends, the Internet has the highest load. In general though, I find DSL to be a pleasure during the day when kids are at school, rather than playing interactive donkey rats.

I am speaking empirically, KBoy. I get 10Mbps day in and day out in my office.
