I bought FAX over a year ago eyeing the dividend....and sold it recently at a losss. I think if the Australian Dollar were to strengthen it would be an interesting play, but i see only weakness in the AD, no signs of a reversal and would avoid FAX. One that I like for yield is NUT...your risk is island hurricanes.

What's the next best means to short the $US other than selling a future contract? Are there options on currency contracts?

Thank you for your response John. I have a futures account so I will look into the options.

As hard as I find it to believe, the breakout on DXY looks technically real at this point, so I am reserving judgement for the moment.
