The company has terminated its stock repurchase program. Accounting rules promulgated by the Securities and Exchange Commission preclude stock repurchases after business combinations accounted for as pooling of interests.

It is in relation to Visio merger.

Does anyone know how long they have to wait before buying back their own shares? Can it be permanent?
If it is permanent, I am looking forward to start seeing some dividend payments in the future.
Puzzled by the statement of not able to repurchase stock. Would appreciate any clarifications. TIA.

johnd-- the result I see is it is now down over 3 to 75 3/4 and I do not love it. You can continue and even add in the change in Gates pocket and it will not change the perception of what has happened. Monday it will go lower and probably lead the NAS down,,,
