Agreed. I am very surprised that at this point in time Intel is still not 50% converted to .18um. A technology transition on that scale must be very difficult. I expect .13um by mid 2001. I think the best Intel could do would be to convert 1 fab by that time. We all ready know what happens when Intel has to produce all its high end parts from 1 fab. Unless AMD slips up, they have a much easier path to .13um from a logistics point of view. This is probably a lot more significant than we think.
