Read a random walk on wall st.
I was a long term dell sh holder...same noise..I sold a few shs and everytime I regretted it.I was rewarded for my patience..Buy a company and know why you bot it ..as long as things stay in tact hold...Theres the traders route..stressed all the time..win / loose...stuck in trades..its hard to even go to the potty..I was making a trade 1 day..went to the bath rm...cost me 10 k<stuck with it>..if you sell qcom...it will go up..if you hold it may go down..where will it be in 2 yrs...do u have the time to trade..tax's....When u buy and hold then you can enjoy life a little better..Greg has the time to time the mkt and the gift...even he gets stressed..moves wrong....Qcom is a great company and a bright future...if you need the money soon then sell some..IMO
I like to trade and hold..trading sux lately.....mkt nervous as a cat on a hot tin roof..dangerous for margin and traders.

Someone posted this quote that was attributed to George Soros some time ago.... can't remember who posted it or what board but whoever it was, thanks... it has helped me at confusing times:

"When you are confused it is best to do nothing. You are just going for a random walk and that is when you are liable to get mugged because you do not have any staying power. You are likely to be faked out by some stray fluctuation because you lack the courage of your convictions.

The market always destroys the weak - that is, investors who do not have well-founded convictions. You need some convictions to avoid getting faked out, but having the courage of your convictions could get you wiped out if your convictions are false. So I prefer to take a stand only when I have well-founded convictions."

Well, each to his/her own but I still can't think of a company that has so much going for it than QCOM. I feel the same way about JDSU too. These last few weeks have sure been a test of my convictions, especially when I start the "shoulda, woulda, coulda" thing but, projecting six to 12 months out, I think most would wish that they were buying big in here... time will tell. Cheers all...
