LOL! OK... Perhaps you should first figure out what a Fiber Channel Switch is before commenting..

Check your Dec/Jan issues of the Gilder report.

Again, I don't get it the pub... I just feel the effects. fwiw NTAP is a storage company that has fiber channel interface - they do not market fiber channel switches. NOPT and XLA aren't even remotely related to the market.

Good to see Gilder has such an informed following. Clearly the reason that his uninformed comments affect valuations when there is no underlying change in fundamentals or technological shifs. Seems to me that those that aren't capable of doing their own dd by investigating the technology companies they are investing in should stay out of the tech market altogether. JMO.

andrew, not here to support gary, but i think you are actually making his case for him. he is not referring to "fiber channels of distribution", he is referring to Fibre Channel. Gilder wrote in the November GTR that "Fibre Channel faces the future as an increasingly marginalized technology."

i may be wrong, but i would be astonished if he has referred to NTAP, NOPT and XLA as leaders in Fibre Channel.

You know what I dislike about these threads?
The morons that call you an idiot because you don't agree 100 percent with them.
Gilder has 60,000 subscribers paying $300 per year (including me).
Obviously anything he adds will go up. Self fulfilling.
Would like to be one of the ones who get the pick before being posted. Look at the last couple picks they all went up before being posted to GTR.
