Andy Grove was in charge when the decision was made to favor IA64 over IA32. This was a monumental mistake, and Grove will have to take the responsibility for it.

Andy Grove is (arguably) the more paranoid of the two.

And so he has survived, which gives him a slight edge. Now what was your point?
