OT brushwud: "What was your point?"

Well, ok, to spell it out for you...

Andrew Jackson was a great leader of the 19th century. He lived life to the fullest, and is now associated with terms
like "Jacksonian Democracy", etc.

Andrew Grove, a 1950's immigrant from Communist Hungary, led
the growth of Intel Corporation to a major global corporate power. He is, undeniably, one of the great business leaders of the twentieth century. But... he is "paranoid".

My point is....

Who is more important? To Republicans, it is probably
Andy Grove (silly, because he is most probably a Democrat.)

To Democrats, Andrew Jackson takes the cake. Even though, he too was most likely "paranoid".

QED: The Intel BS of the 1990'-2000's is not remarkably different from the "Jacksonian" BS of the 1820's. Are you satisfied now? And .. in both cases people bought into it hook, line, and sinker, right?
