They *could* make some progress in the non-PC side...but it remains and will remain a small part of their business. Moreover, if there is a global recession on the way, as seems likely, it will impact their other markets adversely as well.

I am not sure I agree with a slowing in PC demand groth

Me either, AMD is hitting on all cylinders and INTC
can't meet current demand on higher end chips due to
testing equipment issues. IMO, the MSFT warning is
either sand bagging or smoke and mirrors to hide a
different/bigger problem that may be isolated to only
them. Could linux/unix be chipping at their market share?
It's still far from being a mainsteam platform but it is
gaining popularity. Who knows...
