MSFT is behind the times in their reliance on the PC. There is a movement towards network appliances on land lines and wireless networks which MSFT has apparently missed. This trend was promoted by SUNW, ORCL, IBM, HWP etc. I recall that they were late to embrace the Internet. Now they are facing the stiffest challenge, IMO, of their history. I wouldn't be surprised if all of the aforementioned techs get hurt on Monday, but MSFT should get hurt the most because of their poor showing and their high PE, JMHO.

Have to be careful with hedging transactions. They can trigger gain just as if you sold your shares. Check with you CPA or tax attorney before you try this strategy.
